Terms and Conditions of Use

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Concentric Educational Services, Inc. ("Concentric") web and mobile platforms, including the district portal, home visit mobile app, dashboards, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

The Platform is provided for use by authorized school district or school personnel ("Users") only.

Accounts are created or approved by your district and are non-transferable.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

2. Authorized Use of the Platform

The Platform may be used only for legitimate educational purposes as directed by your school district.

You agree not to misuse the Platform, including but not limited to: attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with system operation, reverse-engineering, or using the Platform for commercial, personal, or non-educational purposes.

3. Student Data Privacy

Concentric takes student privacy seriously. As a designated "school official" under FERPA, Concentric handles personally identifiable student information ("Student Data") only as directed by the district.

Purpose:

Student Data is used solely to deliver contracted services, such as identifying disengaged students, conducting home visits, coordinating supports, and reporting outcomes.

No Commercial Use:

Student Data is never sold, shared, or used for marketing or advertising.

De-identified Data:

Concentric may use de-identified, aggregated data to improve services and for research, provided no individual student or school can be identified.

Parent/Student Rights:

Parents and eligible students retain all FERPA rights. Requests to access, correct, or delete records must be made through the district.

4. Data Security and Retention

Concentric secures Student Data with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest.

Access is limited to trained personnel with a legitimate need to know.

Student Data is retained only as long as necessary to provide contracted services, then securely deleted or returned to the district.

5. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its design, features, and content (excluding Student Data), is owned by Concentric and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Platform without Concentric's written consent.

6. Confidentiality

You agree to maintain the confidentiality of any student, family, or district information you access through the Platform.

Unauthorized disclosure of Student Data or confidential district information is strictly prohibited.

7. Termination

Concentric may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time if you violate these Terms or if required by the district.

Upon termination, you must cease using the Platform and delete any data you may have downloaded or stored in violation of these Terms.

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." Concentric makes no warranties regarding uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or suitability for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Concentric is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict of law principles.

10. Changes to Terms

Concentric may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on the Platform with the updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
